Hello, my name is Megan, and I am one of the Registered Veterinary Technologists (RVT) here at the Airdrie Animal Health Centre. I have been a part of the AAHC team since 2017. I really enjoy my job and love to interact with the clients and their pets.
I have always had an interest in veterinary medicine, which motivated me to complete both my Veterinary Technical Assistant and Veterinary Medical Receptionist programs at Olds College. I then worked as a receptionist for a little bit while I completed my Animal Health Technologist diploma from Olds College. I wanted to become an RVT as I wanted to not only create relationships with the clients but also help impact the care and treatment that their pets need. I particularly have a passion for surgery, dentals, and anesthesia.
I currently have two dogs. Sable who is one of the sweetest black labs that we rescued from AARCS. She loves to cuddle and is always looking for attention. And our newest addition Sage, who is the most adorable, sweetest Bernese Mountain Dog. You may see her around the clinic sometimes! We also have two cats, Casper and Rorschach; who both think they rule the house.
Outside of work, my husband and I love to go hiking, camping, kayaking, rock climbing, etc. I also love to take in some theatre productions.
